All of our teachers are passionate about music and the development of children.
They create a fun, informal, social setting that spurs engagement and supports each child's musical development.

Robin Robinson, Director
Robin is thrilled to be in her favorite state of Michigan to own and operate Robinsongs For Kids. Though raised in Ohio and Michigan, she spent most of her adult life in New York City, where she was both a performer and teacher of music. She has been teaching Music Together® for twenty-four years - the first eight in NYC, at some of Manhattan's premiere centers. During that time, she also taught music for a Head Start program in the Bronx. Prior to teaching she was a musical theater actress, performing on Broadway and around the world. Robin is a singer-songwriter who performed with her band in venues throughout New York City and who released an album, "Copacetic", on an independent label. She holds a B.F.A. in Musical Theater from the University of Michigan, and has a wonderful dog named Bodhi. Robin brings her musical skills and performing experience to her teaching, as well as her profound love of children. She believes whole heartedly in the Music Together principle that "everyone is musical", and is very grateful to be a licensed Music Together Center Director!
Robin has recently been awarded Music Together Certification Level I status, having demonstrated outstanding achievment in teaching, musicianship, program philosophy, and parent education. The "Cert 1" training was done by Dr. Lili Levinowitz, one of the co-founders of Music Together, and the award was granted by the Center for Music And Young Children in Princeton, NJ, Kenneth K. Guilmartin, Co-Founder/Director.

Zack Tanenbaum
Zachary grew up around Music Together® as his mother, Julie, founded East Bay Music Together in 1996 when Zachary was just 4 years old. Zachary was inspired to work within Music Together after seeing the positive impact that the program had on his local community throughout his life. He began to do admin work for his mom's center in 2015 and in 2017 became a trained Music Together teacher and opened his own center, Music Together Little Melodies. He is thrilled to be joining Robinsongs for Kids and their excellent program!

Emily Hollen
As an avid lover and maker of music since she can recall, Emily has had a blast rekindling that spark teaching for Robinsongs for Kids! She participated in her school’s choral groups and performed in musical/non-musical theatre growing up. The performing arts shaped Emily into the person, and teacher, she is today.
Emily went to WCC and achieved Associate’s degrees in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education. She first found out about Music Together when she was a nanny, where they attended a Robinsongs for Kids class. Her interest in the “musical community” peaked and she fell in love with teaching music. She has been leading classes since summer 2025; she also teaches at Gretchen’s House and works semi-part-time at BYOC Co. Outside of her occupations, she enjoys snuggling her cat, Darlene, listening to her records, and thrifting. Emily hopes you’ll be making musical memories with her soon!
